Orval Ambassadeur
"Why, Ambassador .. you are truly spoiling us" - so goes the famous line of that perennial t.v. advertising classic for Ferrero Rocher. Not sure that offering up a stack of commonly available chocolate balls strictly counts as 'spoiling', but in our case I think we can truly lay claim to the phrase...
For the second year running, Lowlander is extremely proud to be declared an official 'Ambassador of Orval' - one of only 355 hostelries on the entire planet to have achieved this accolade - from what is widely acknowledged as one of the world's greatest beers.
To celebrate this award, Lowlander has made a pilgrimage down to south west Belgium, to take in the ambience of this very special Trappist brewery. Whilst there, we felt it only right that we should share our good fortune of becoming an 'Ambassadeur Orval' with our customers, who, over the years have ordered and supped the many glasses of Orval which have merited our award.
So, together with our good friends at Cave Direct, our beer wholesalers who accompanied us on this trip, we are delighted to offer the chance to win an unique gift from Orval:
